Elvis Presley Song:

Welcome to My World (1973)

(Music and lyrics by Ray Winkler / John Hathcock)

"Welcome to My World" was originally a hit by Jim Reeves in 1969. Elvis recorded it in 1973, and it was first released on the album "Aloha From Hawaii". There is also an Elvis album from 1977 by the same name. This is a compilation album with previous released songs that came out in early 1977, just a few months before Elvis' death. "Welcome to my world, Won't you come on in Miracles, I guess Still happen now and then Step into my heart Leave your cares behind Welcome to my world Built with you in mind."

This was one of my dad's favourite songs, he used to sing it all the time. When I hear it now..... I just start crying. It reminds of my dad... Always. He played in small private venues and the people were mad about him! Elvis was his idol! My dad learnt from the best there ever was!

GREAT SONG but Elvis did not recorded WTMW in 1970! First released on RCA LP/MC/8 Track "Aloha from Hawaii via Satelite" Jan. 14th 1973. Another official live-version was recorded on Jan. 12th 1973 (= RCA LP/CD/MC "The Alternate Aloha" released in 1988) The 1977 "Welcome To My World" RCA Album includes the Jan 14th '73 version in a different mix. A very short version (0,38 sec.) from Las Vegas Dec. 13th 1975 MS can be found on diff. Import CD's (soundboard recording)

Greetings from Vienna, Austria
All the Best Harald

24K Gold Music Shows
50s/60s/Elvis/oldies showband in Florida

24K Gold Music Shows is a large oldies musical revue (126 people) performing primarily in Florida. The shows are filled with lots of choreography, energy, and great fun with oldies, country, and Elvis songs.

The last 1/3 of each evening show is an Elvis Tribute, featuring his music based on arrangements from his 1970s concerts. And every show is different.

24K Gold Music Shows understands there was only one Elvis Presley, so NO ONE in in the band will ever attempt to "impersonate" Elvis or pretend to be him, nor even be as good as Elvis! The show they are doing is a sincere tribute to the King, with NO attempt to mock him.

So in 24K Gold Music Shows Elvis tribute show you will be reminded of Elvis through his songs, sung with similar arrangements to those he used in concert, and see some similar costumes to those he wore, just for nostalgia's sake.
