The way Elvis sings Unchained Melody gives me goose bumps. His voice goes right through me. There will never be another one like Elvis, no replacement, nothing. I truly can say I miss him and still cry when I think of what a great loss.

I've seen the video in which he sings this song in one of his last concerts. It's so sad... However, it's so powerful and so pure...

The intensity with which he strikes the keys and the vibrating power in his voice is truly profound. He knows his life culminates in this last performance. His last belt is like a punch in the gut, it takes your breath away. The song is a testament to just how deeply the man felt.

Everyone talks about Frank Sinatra, The Beatles & such as being better than Elvis. While they are great artists & legengs of the music, ELVIS PRESLEY changed Rock n' Roll. The Beatles have admitted they were blown away when Elvis sang; and he was an inspiration for them as well. As far as Frank Sinatra, give me a break. Elvis's voice is like an Angel to me. Elvis sang Sinatra's songs better than he did!! As far as Unchained Melody, I always get goose bumps & tear up when I hear Elvis sing it. Especially the ending; he sounds like an Opera singer. No doubt he IS the GREATEST performer/artist of all time. Don't even bring up Michael Jackson... please. He couldn't hold Elvis's microphone. They don't call hime THE KING for nothing!!

I really love this song!! I extremely enjoyed watching Elvis play this song on the piano. Every time I hear this song I get chills on my arms and my hair stands on end because the song is so perfect. He did a great job singing it. Most people like the version by The Righteous Brothers, but this is my favorite version.

A lot of terrible things were said about the state of Elvis in 1977. It's a pity that the goldman tabloid version of events still overshadow what are startling, powerhouse, emotional outpourings. Elvis with added weight and older has a seasoned, operatic quality to his voice on this and the fabulous 'Hurt'. Where he just goes for it, is adventurous with his choice of material and is good humourd throughout. The saddest thing I think about his last filmed appearance is his eyes. One of the bodyguard books said that shortly before the end, Elvis had some plastic surgery to remove crows feet and it changed the shape of his eyes. Looking at the footage, I would have to give those goons some credit. His eyes are different, to me that is sad. There is nothing to fault in any of his singing and though he looks tired and under pressure, he is the king.

I love Elvis Presley because of the way he sings and moves his pelvis there will never ever be a rock like who can do what he did and that's why he will be always be the king of rock 'n'roll.
Yours Sincerely

This song just goes to prove how great Elvis was even in the last year of his life. He didn't really care about the early Rock 'n' Roll hits by this time, but still managed hits on the Gospel, C & W and Christmas charts.

I love this song. It is a triumph of mind over body, a cry to be loved, from the
depths of his soul. I sometimes cry when I listen to it, but revel in the fact that
he did get that falsetto note at the end.

I love it. His baritone gets deeper and better almost like an opera singer's. There could be so many more...
