Elvis Presley Song:
The Wonder Of You (1970)
(Music and lyrics by Baker Knight)
Elvis never did record The wonder of you in recording studio,
but instead all the recordings we have are from live concerts.
The one for the single in 1970 was from a Las Vegas concert in
February 1970. The single was released in April, with
Mama Liked The Roses on the flip side. It reached #9
on the pop chart and sold gold. In the UK, it was even more popular, topping the UK Singles
Chart for six weeks in the summer of that year.
You can buy it on the CD On Stage February, 1970 .
"I guess I'll never know the reason why
You love me like you do.
That's the wonder,
The wonder of you."

I have always liked the live version of Elvis's The Wonder Of You. I can watch Elvis sing it in That's The Way It Is second special edition on both VHS and DVD. Elvis looked so healthy in 1970. The Wonder Of You cheers me up when I am blue. Thank you Elvis for such a great song. Lynn

I'm a musician and Elvis fan and I still find this song amazing after all these years. From the live performance to the orchestrations, Burton's solo and the King's voice -it is really a masterpiece to listen to!

This is by far my most Favorite song ever, I can't really explain it except for any time, day or night, if I lay in bed with the radio on and his songs come on, I will Literally wake up just to listen to him. I feel it is a perfect expression of myself. I blame my mom for getting me into Elvis music and to this day I'm glad she did. I see impersonators and I get mad at how they make his image a (1 act persona) when in fact he was like anyone else not just a one style person, he didn't live in his stage outfits, he dressed like normal people. My mom always thought something was wrong with me as a child, any time she played select Elvis songs I would cry uncontrollably and like around christmas time for several years my grandma would play Elvis X-mas Album, I would sing every song on it. And everyone said as I got older I could sound just like him. God bless him for giving us his music.. He will always be missed. Long Live The King!

Simply the finest love-song Elvis ever recorded, and possibly the finest love-song ANYONE has ever recorded. Wonderful.

This song has great value to me. I am about to marry the most wonderful man of my dreams on April 16th. He and I are big Elvis fans and he told me this song was to me that it was the song that reminded him of me and I thought it was the most beautiful song and right after that he asked me to marry him. I am very blessed and thankful to have found him. I was looking for this song on CD and come across this page and just had to let you know how Elvis's help make my dreams come true and that we are playing it at our wedding. thank you.
