"Sweet Caroline" is a song originally written and performed by Neil Diamond. 
He  released it in 1969. Diamond wrote the song  about Caroline Kennedy,  
the daughter of John F. Kennedy, inspired by a cute photo of Caroline Kennedy
in a magazine. The picture showed a little girl dressed to the nines in her riding
gear, next to her pony.


Elvis obviously liked 'Sweet Caroline' a lot, since he included it the very next year
in his live shows. It became very popular with his audiences. Elvis' first released
version was on the album "On Stage". Another live version from August 1970
was released in the movie "Elvis: That's the Way It Is". 

The chorus says:

"Hands, touching hands, reaching out
Touching me, touching you
Oh, sweet Caroline
Good times never seem so good
Oh I made him climb to believe it never would. "
