Elvis Presley Song:

Suspicious Minds (1969)

(Lyrics words and music by Mark James)

Elvis recorded Suspicious minds in January 1969 at Chips Moman's American Studios in Memphis. The songwriter Mark James had himself recorded the song just a year earlier, without much success. Elvis had spent most of the 60s doing movies and getting ever more frustrated and bored with them - now he poured his heart and energy into the songs with freshness. The music recorded during these "Memphis sessions" is considered to be the best music of his career, and the albums and singles produced from them helped boost Elvis' career during 1969 and afterwards. Suspicious minds was released on a single in August 1969, and it reached #1 on the billboard pop chart for one week, staying on charts for a total of 15 weeks. It became the last #1 hit of Elvis during his lifetime. The song was inducted into Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999. You can find Suspicious Minds on the CDs Elvis Recorded Live on Stage in Memphis, 50 Worldwide Gold Hits: Volume 1, Elvis Recorded at Madison Square Garden, or Aloha From Hawaii via Satellite. "We can't go on together With suspicious minds, And we can't build our dreams On suspicious minds."

I love Suspicious Minds because I love the movements that Elvis did at his live concerts. I think that they were great, and I like the way the song sounds.
This has been one of my all time favorite songs of Elvis. I like the ballads that Elvis sings.

Elvis Presley is not only the King of Rock 'n Roll but also a legend...

.....Trivia on.....
"Suspicious Minds" is a song originating in the United States in 1956 that thematizes emotional entrapment within a dysfunctional relationship.[1] Most notably performed by Elvis Presley beginning in 1969, "Suspicious Minds" was widely regarded as the single that jump-started Presley's career after his successful '68 Comeback Special. It was Elvis's eighteenth and last number-one single in the United States. Rolling Stone later ranked it #91 on their list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

Burning Love by 24K Gold Music Shows       More videos

24K Gold Music Shows is a large oldies musical revue (126 people) performing primarily in Florida. The shows are filled with lots of choreography, energy, and great fun with oldies, country, and Elvis songs.

The last 1/3 of each evening show is an Elvis Tribute, featuring his music based on arrangements from his 1970s concerts. And every show is different.

24K Gold Music Shows understands there was only one Elvis Presley, so NO ONE in in the band will ever attempt to "impersonate" Elvis or pretend to be him, nor even be as good as Elvis! The show they are doing is a sincere tribute to the King, with NO attempt to mock him.

So in 24K Gold Music Shows Elvis tribute show you will be reminded of Elvis through his songs, sung with similar arrangements to those he used in concert, and see some similar costumes to those he wore, just for nostalgia's sake.
