Elvis Presley Song:

Surrender (1961)

(Lyrics and music by Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman)

Another rewritten Italian ballad that Elvis recorded (besides Now or Never). This time the original song is called "Torna a Sorrento" (return to Sorrento) by G.D. de Curtis and Ernesto de Curtis. Elvis recorded Surrender in October 1960. The single was released in 1961 and became a #1 hit on the billboard top chart for two weeks. You can find it on the CD 50 Worldwide Gold Hits: Volume 1 or Elvis Golden Records Volume 3. "So, my darling, please surrender All your love so warm and tender. Let me hold you in my arms, dear, While the moon shines bright above."

ELVIS was and still my all-time hero. I hav fshioned myself after him since I was a teenager. I sport the sideberuns and his hair style to this day. Wherever I go, people turn and stare and call me ELVIS. That is very gratifying to me to be compared to me hero. Keep up the good work.

Lorgio Coimbra

24K Gold Music Shows
50s/60s/Elvis/oldies showband in Florida

24K Gold Music Shows is a large oldies musical revue (126 people) performing primarily in Florida. The shows are filled with lots of choreography, energy, and great fun with oldies, country, and Elvis songs.

The last 1/3 of each evening show is an Elvis Tribute, featuring his music based on arrangements from his 1970s concerts. And every show is different.

24K Gold Music Shows understands there was only one Elvis Presley, so NO ONE in in the band will ever attempt to "impersonate" Elvis or pretend to be him, nor even be as good as Elvis! The show they are doing is a sincere tribute to the King, with NO attempt to mock him.

So in 24K Gold Music Shows Elvis tribute show you will be reminded of Elvis through his songs, sung with similar arrangements to those he used in concert, and see some similar costumes to those he wore, just for nostalgia's sake.
