Elvis Presley Song:

Reconsider Baby (1956)

(Music and lyrics by Lowell Fulson)

A blues song from Elvis' early career. It was recorded on December 4, 1956, during the famous informal jam session with "Million Dollar Quartet". You can find this song on the CD Elvis is Back! or Reconsider Baby. "You said you once had loved me, But now I guess you've changed your mind. Why don't you reconsider, baby? Give yourself just a little more time."

If only Elvis had of recorded more songs like this one and less Movie songs he would have been even GREATER than GREAT.

I was not aware that Elvis has sang blues songs until after going to Memphis and walking on Beale Street. This caused a friend and I do research more of Elvis's music and we were very happy to discover this song. We also go to an Elvis tribute artist that loves to introduce the more unknown Elvis songs and what a thrill to discover how truly talented he was.

If Elvis was some unknown blues guy from the south and only ever made one recording and it was Reconsider Baby, the 1960 version, then we would be hailing him as king of the blues. This song was recorded in one take as the sun was coming up. The last song recorded for the session 'Elvis is back'. And he was.

50s/60s/Elvis/oldies showband in Florida

24K Gold Music Shows is a large oldies musical revue (126 people) performing primarily in Florida. The shows are filled with lots of choreography, energy, and great fun with oldies, country, and Elvis songs.

The last 1/3 of each evening show is an Elvis Tribute, featuring his music based on arrangements from his 1970s concerts. And every show is different.

24K Gold Music Shows understands there was only one Elvis Presley, so NO ONE in in the band will ever attempt to "impersonate" Elvis or pretend to be him, nor even be as good as Elvis! The show they are doing is a sincere tribute to the King, with NO attempt to mock him.

So in 24K Gold Music Shows Elvis tribute show you will be reminded of Elvis through his songs, sung with similar arrangements to those he used in concert, and see some similar costumes to those he wore, just for nostalgia's sake.
