Elvis Presley Song:

One Broken Heart For Sale (1963)

(Music and lyrics by Blackwell and Scott)

This song was written for the movie It Happened At The Worlds Fair. It was released on a single and reached #11 on the billboard chart. You can find it on the CD 50 Worldwide Gold Hits: Volume 1. "Some guys have all the luck, and my heart hasn't any. I think I'll paint a sign, "For sale for a penny"."

I like Elvis' relaxed style of singing on this track or is it that he's just bored with the below average material that his manager was contracting him to sing. At any moment I hope he's going to sing ' hold it fellas that don't move me, let's get real, real gone for a change' and launch into ' milk cow blues boogie' which let's face it is a underated masterpiece, where Elvis reinvents the blues and makes Robert Johnson look like an old man. So yes drivel like 'one broken heart' although listenable because it's the king, is the kind of song that depressed him as an artist and almost ruined his credibility.

24K Gold Music Shows
50s/60s/Elvis/oldies showband in Florida

If I Can Dream by 24K Gold Music Shows       More videos

24K Gold Music Shows is a large oldies musical revue (126 people) performing primarily in Florida. The shows are filled with lots of choreography, energy, and great fun with oldies, country, and Elvis songs.

The last 1/3 of each evening show is an Elvis Tribute, featuring his music based on arrangements from his 1970s concerts. And every show is different.

24K Gold Music Shows understands there was only one Elvis Presley, so NO ONE in in the band will ever attempt to "impersonate" Elvis or pretend to be him, nor even be as good as Elvis! The show they are doing is a sincere tribute to the King, with NO attempt to mock him.

So in 24K Gold Music Shows Elvis tribute show you will be reminded of Elvis through his songs, sung with similar arrangements to those he used in concert, and see some similar costumes to those he wore, just for nostalgia's sake.
