This is a song about the feelings of one who has been left behind.
He wants to live in memory of those times and in dreams of yesterday. 

The last verse says:

Heals a broken heart.
But time has stood still
Since we've been apart."

The power Elvis puts into this song. The changing of voice tones for each emotion. The emotion he puts in the song. I hope I have put the words down here that I intended. : ) Its late right now..... Its one of my favorite songs for Elvis. Sharon
