Elvis Presley Song:

Heartbreak Hotel (1956)

(Song and lyrics by Axton, Durden, and Elvis Presley)

The lyrics of this song are by Tommy Durden, and the music by Mae Boren Axton. Elvis was arranged by his manager Parker to receive a credit for the songwriting if he agreed to sing it. Elvis recorded Heartbreak Hotel for RCA in 1956 and it became Elvis' first #1 hit. The song talks about a hotel where broken-hearted lovers go cry away their gloom and loneliness. You can find Heartbreak hotel on the CD 50 Worldwide Gold Hits: Volume 1. The chorus says: "You make me so lonely, baby, I get so lonely, I get so lonely, I could die."

No one else can ever do this song justice. Only Elvis. One of my top 5 Elvis songs of all time.

24K Gold Music Shows
50s/60s/Elvis/oldies showband in Florida

Burning Love by 24K Gold Music Shows       More videos

24K Gold Music Shows is a large oldies musical revue (126 people) performing primarily in Florida. The shows are filled with lots of choreography, energy, and great fun with oldies, country, and Elvis songs.

The last 1/3 of each evening show is an Elvis Tribute, featuring his music based on arrangements from his 1970s concerts. And every show is different.

24K Gold Music Shows understands there was only one Elvis Presley, so NO ONE in in the band will ever attempt to "impersonate" Elvis or pretend to be him, nor even be as good as Elvis! The show they are doing is a sincere tribute to the King, with NO attempt to mock him.

So in 24K Gold Music Shows Elvis tribute show you will be reminded of Elvis through his songs, sung with similar arrangements to those he used in concert, and see some similar costumes to those he wore, just for nostalgia's sake.
