Elvis Presley Song:

Bossa Nova, Baby (1963)

(Music and lyrics by Leiber and Stoller)

This song was originally for the Elvis movie "Fun in Acapulco". It is in the Brazilian 'Bossa Nova' music style. You can find it on Elvis double features CD, It Happened At The Worlds Fair/Fun In Acapulco (1993). A chorus line goes for example: "She said, 'Go, Bossa nova, baby. Keep on dancin'. 'Cause I ain't got time to think.' " You can buy 'Bossa Nova Baby' on the CDs Elvis 2nd to None and 50 Worldwide Gold Hits: Volume 1.

My daughter's favourite Elvis song. Long live the new generation of those who love Elvis.

'Bossa Nova Baby' is one of my wife's favourite Elvis songs. I like the whole acapulco soundtrack. One song that doesn't appear on any lists is 'Just call me lonesome from now on'. A beautiful country classic and sung so well by his majesty, no surprises there. I think it was buried on the Clambake album originally. Check it out.

24K Gold Music Shows
50s/60s/Elvis/oldies showband in Florida

Burning Love by 24K Gold Music Shows       More videos

24K Gold Music Shows is a large oldies musical revue (126 people) performing primarily in Florida. The shows are filled with lots of choreography, energy, and great fun with oldies, country, and Elvis songs.

The last 1/3 of each evening show is an Elvis Tribute, featuring his music based on arrangements from his 1970s concerts. And every show is different.

24K Gold Music Shows understands there was only one Elvis Presley, so NO ONE in in the band will ever attempt to "impersonate" Elvis or pretend to be him, nor even be as good as Elvis! The show they are doing is a sincere tribute to the King, with NO attempt to mock him.

So in 24K Gold Music Shows Elvis tribute show you will be reminded of Elvis through his songs, sung with similar arrangements to those he used in concert, and see some similar costumes to those he wore, just for nostalgia's sake.
