Elvis in the movie Love Me Tender

ELVIS MOVIE "LOVE ME TENDER"

Love Me Tender (1956) is Elvis' first film, a Western situated just after the Civil War.  Elvis playing Clint Reno gets married to his brother's girl thinking his brother died in the war, but after the supposedly dead brother shows up on the scene, troubles follow with a tragic ending.

The film has four songs, including the wonderful love ballad "Love Me Tender", which of course also gives the movie its name.

He knew every one of his lines well. His mama cried when she saw him die in the film.

I loved it. I saw it when it first came out in 1956 and have seen it over the years over a 100 times. I have this movie and will always remember Elvis this way...only 21 and he has stolen my heart. I am 66 and will die a fan.

By the end of 1956 Elvis outraged and inspired millions and sold 10 million records that made him public enemy number 1, and he made his first movie in 1956. Elvis was a ROCKER, and in my opinion "Love me tender" was a learning process, but the best is yet to come, learning the first time around. "Loving you" and "jail house rock" was engineered for Elvis to preform lots of rock n roll. The fans made "love me tender" a hit, but I give it a five rating. Elvis was not a cowboy. In 1956 Elvis was a ROCKER. I give Elvis 100. The man changed the world in 1956 and 1957.

I like the movie, Love Me Tender, but it hurts too much to watch the ending, so when it gets close, I just quit watching it. I know it sounds strange, but that's just the way I am. :-(

It's not my favourite, but I like all of Elvis' movies. They are funny, and I love the music, and Elvis is handsome!

I love the movie. Even though Elvis is raw, he is acting. I saw so much "James Dean" potential here. the only thing I didn't like was the movie's ending!

"Love Me Tender" is a great movie, and Elvis Presley is a great singer, and we should see a lot more of him. I vote "love me tender" a 10 rating! And Elvis himself a 100!

24K Gold Music Shows is a large oldies musical revue (126 people) performing primarily in Florida. The shows are filled with lots of choreography, energy, and great fun with oldies, country, and Elvis songs.

The last 1/3 of each evening show is an Elvis Tribute, featuring his music based on arrangements from his 1970s concerts. And every show is different.

24K Gold Music Shows understands there was only one Elvis Presley, so NO ONE in in the band will ever attempt to "impersonate" Elvis or pretend to be him, nor even be as good as Elvis! The show they are doing is a sincere tribute to the King, with NO attempt to mock him.

So in 24K Gold Music Shows Elvis tribute show you will be reminded of Elvis through his songs, sung with similar arrangements to those he used in concert, and see some similar costumes to those he wore, just for nostalgia's sake.
