Elvis in the movie It Happened At The World's Fair

Elvis Movie "It Happened At The World's Fair" (1963)

Elvis plays a freelance airplane pilot, Mike Edwards, who goes to the 1962 World's Fair in Seattle after his partner, Danny (Gary Lockwood), has managed to get their airplane confiscated.  His partner spends his time gambling while Elvis falls in love with a young nurse, Diane (Joan O'Brien), and thereafter tries to win her heart.  Mike also gets to take care of an adorable little Chinese girl. Sue-Lin (Vicky Tiu), who has nowhere to go after her uncle is called off to work.  In the end, all things end up happy and sweet, and Elvis gets his girl.

As usual, the film is full of songs.  Elvis sings the songs "I'm Falling in Love Tonight," "They Remind Me Too Much of You", "Take Me to the Fair", "Relax", "How Would You Like to Be", "Beyond the Bend", "One Broken Heart for Sale", "Cotton Candy Land", "A World of Our Own", and "Happy Ending".

This movie is my favorite Elvis movie ever. It is the BEST!

This movie fell in line with most of Elvis' movies. Elvis gets the girl in the end. Vicky Tiu, the little girl in the movie, would go on to be the first lady of Hawaii, married to the former governor, Ben Cayetano. What I find interesting about this movie, it is nearly impossible to find the song "How Would You Like To Be" in any internet song site, other than in the movie itself.

This movie was soo funny in parts, and the songs were the bomb also. Elvis looked quite good with the little girl and showed his love for kids.

The one part I will always remember in this movie was when he sang "How Would You Like To Be".  I love this movie too.  I have most of them on VHS and watch this one often.

24K Gold Music Shows
50s/60s/Elvis/oldies showband in Florida

24K Gold Music Shows is a large oldies musical revue (126 people) performing primarily in Florida. The shows are filled with lots of choreography, energy, and great fun with oldies, country, and Elvis songs.

The last 1/3 of each evening show is an Elvis Tribute, featuring his music based on arrangements from his 1970s concerts. And every show is different.

24K Gold Music Shows understands there was only one Elvis Presley, so NO ONE in in the band will ever attempt to "impersonate" Elvis or pretend to be him, nor even be as good as Elvis! The show they are doing is a sincere tribute to the King, with NO attempt to mock him.

So in 24K Gold Music Shows Elvis tribute show you will be reminded of Elvis through his songs, sung with similar arrangements to those he used in concert, and see some similar costumes to those he wore, just for nostalgia's sake.
