I've been a fan since I was around the age of 2 or 3. I listened to the song "Blue Christmas" and I was hooked. All I listened to for the longest time was Elvis and im thankful for his influence on me.
The first time I remember crying was to the movie "Love Me Tender" when he dies at the end.
I love alot of the Elvis movies notably Love Me Tender, Jailhouse Rock, Follow That Dream, King Creole, Flaming Star, Girl Happy, GI Blues, Clambake, Stay Away Joe and Roustabout that I can think of at the moment.
My favorite Elvis song is "Treat Me Like A Fool" but all of his songs are classic's.
LONG LIVE THE KING!
Cheers,
Marty

Elvis, I have loved your music for as long as I can remember. Your smile, your eyes, your talk drew me in. I saw you in concert the year before you died. I visited Graceland after you died. My heart holds a special place for you. I'm looking forward to shaking your hand when I see you again.

Elvis Presley is one of the greatest men on earth or I should say the greatest. It is so amazing how one person can touch the lives of so many. Elvis was his own person and yes Elvis is dead, but if you switch the letters in his name around, it spells LIVES, and that's what he does: he lives in our hearts forever. When I listen to his music, I get a calm feeling of serenity. Elvis was very spiritual. He believed in God. You're home now, Elvis, you are with your mom and brother. I was not born when you swept the nation but I love you and years from now other younger generations will come to love and respect you. No matter what anyone says about Elvis, harsh criticism will never amount to the millions of fans that dedicate themselves through the gifts and blessings Elvis has bestowed upon the world. I love Elvis all the way to the end. He was about his fans. I really love him alot.

I was 21 when I first discovered Elvis in May '05 thru the TV movie "Elvis" and TV special "Elvis By The Presleys". I was glued to the TV as if I'd known Elvis since '54! : ) I wish! But ever since then I've been stuck on him. My favorite concert DVD is "That's The Way It Is: Special Edition". Those silk shirts are HOT! But I love his '50s hairstyles the best. I sometimes do my hair like this with it pinned up. So cute! My favorite '50s performance is when he performs "Love Me" on the Ed Sullivan show. I could write a book about my love for Elvis. I've even had multiple FABULOUS dreams about him. In one he was teaching me how to play the guitar. (It was around '68.) I just LOVE him. I love him more than EVERYONE! It's the Wonder Of Elvis!!! ; )

I first heard Elvis when I was 12 years old. I was just completely blown away. This has started a life long obsession, on second thought obsession sounds a bit weird, fascination and kinship more like. I hope elvis continues to have the same effect on future generations. Long Live the King and Thank you for the music. Did I mention his mesmerizing good looks.

I am also too young. This is the only moment in which I regret to be young, because I would have liked so bad to see ELVIS in one of his performance.
My mom liked Elvis and she was just 20 during 60's. She told me about this great artist and when I finally listened to his voice, I totally fell for him. Great voice, charisma and creativity gave him fame and success that involved old and new generations.
ELVIS, I LOVE YOU

LAST YEAR CHARLIE HODGE CAME TO DUBLIN TO SING AND PLAY WITH IRELANDS AND I WOULD SAY THE WORLD'S GREATEST Elvis TRIBUTE ARTIST MR. KEVIN DOYLE AND THE WAY IT WAS ORCHESTRA. IT WAS SO GREAT TO SEE CHARLIE UP ON STAGE PLAYING GUITAR AND HARMONISING. HE SHARED LOTS OF ANECDOTES ABOUT Elvis TOO AND AFTER THE SHOW I GOT TO MEET HIM AND HAVE MY PICTURE TAKEN WITH HIM. CHARLIE IS IN HOSPITAL WITH CANCER AT THE MOMENT SO PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM. I ALSO GOT TO SEE KEVIN PERFORMING WITH THE TCB BAND (ALL FOUR MEMBERS) AND THE JORDANAIRES! WHAT A CONCERT! THERE WERE THOUSANDS OF FANS THERE AND MOST OF THEM YOUNG PEOPLE! Elvis IS STILL SO PHENOMENONLY POPULAR AND LOVED BY ALL THOSE WHO DISCOVER HIS SPECIAL SPIRIT. LOVE YOU EL! I'm only nine years old but I know pretty much everything about Elvis Aaron Presley from when he was born on January 8, 1935 to when he got married on May 1, 1967 to when he tradgicly died from a heart attack on August 16, 1977. When I grow up I'm gonna be an Elvis impersanator. I mainly like the 1956 Elvis. I wish I could just slip on my blue suede shoes and rock back to that one year when a Mississippi truck driver became famous from his love of singing. I geuss I first became an Elvis Presley fan one day while I was looking on my dads Ipod I saw the name Elvis. At that time I just thought he was some fat guy who died on his toilet seat. But once I listened to the songs I liked it so much that now i'm running the local fan club. Some people just think he was a fat piece of white trash but he was more than that. He touched the hearts of millions of souls. He was a man. A very special man.

I visited Graceland January of 2005. I wasn't a huge Elvis fan at the time so I basically walked through just looking at stuff, and now that im a big Elvis fan I wish I would have stopped to read everything. Hopefully I will go back soon, and get more pictures because you can take as many pictures there as you want, BUT you can't use a flash. I had a disposable camera with an automatic flash and I couldn't turn it off so I only got one picture before I got yelled at. but over all it is very worth it to go. if you go to graceland I suggest that you look at his cars and go through his planes. it's worth it. I LOVE Elvis FOREVER!

When I was a teenager I was very sheltered and I was a loner, Elvis got me through some very rough years and to this day I am still as big a fan if not more that I was back in the 70's. I have been to Graceland 3 times, the first time was very emotional for me and I cried when I first saw the gates and walked up the steps to enter the house. I only regret not being able to ever see him in concert! I envy those that got too. Its hard to believe its been 28 years since he passed on because his presence never seems to leave us. He truly was a blessing from God to us and the most handsome man ever to walk but more than that the most beautiful soul and there is no wonder his heart gave out because it was just so big! He gave so much of himself to us and I pray that we gave him just as much happiness as he gave us.

I do know also that he was only a man and that sometimes the life was hard for him people comeing up to wanting him to put his hand on someone and heal them.
all these years I have always wanted to go to graceland and this past may I got to go for my work place got togethier and brought me and my husband tickets to go and with me. When I was about 5 or 6 I heard "Blue Christmas" on the radio and from that moment I knew he was somebody special. I wanted to know everything about him and have been doing so ever since! I have tons of Elvis collectables and they are on shelves in my room. I listen to my cds of him every day and I fell empty if I don't. Elvis has been by my side in so many ways, he makes me happy when I'm sad and gives me hope when I fell lost. I know I can always count on him!! I know its weird but I feel that I will see Elvis (his spirit) before I die. I'd give anything to meet him! I'm in 11th grade and had to do a history report. We could choose any person, place, or event from 1900- now, I chose Elvis of course, but I didn't feel like my report was good enough. It only had to be 2 pages but mine was 7 1/2 pages (typed) but I wanted to throw it away and start over so many times b/c I didn't feel like I was capturing the TRUE Elvis. We had to do a whole presentation about our topic... I was eager to show my love for THE KING and went first. When I got to the front of the room my mind went blank... I forgot everything I planned on saying. I talked for a/b 10 min. then showed 3 songs from the '68 Comeback Special. I got a 95 on my presentation and a 100 on my report, but I wanted to cry b/c I felt like I let MY LOVE down, I left out a lot of important facts and didn't express the TRUE Elvis, everyone said I did great but I didn't feel that I did. People tease me a lot for being so infactuated with Elvis so its good to know there are many teens out there who feel the way I do and I love to talk about him with anyone who will listen. If anyone would like to email me -> hisqueen@rock.com or hisqueen417@hotmail.com

I was about twelve years old and my freind asked me to go to the pictures with as her mother would not let her go on her own. My freind told me it was a western film called LOVE ME TENDER, and that the star of the film was called Elvis Presley, I had never heard of him but I went anyway as my freind was paying for me and I was not going to miss a freebie. when Elvis appeared on the screen I was bitten good and proper by the Elvis bug. I instantly fell madly and deeply in love with him, my mother, god rest her soul got sick and tired of me talking about him. As soon as I was able to go to work I spent all my pocket money on any magazines that had a Elvis picture in it. Over the years I have collected many things to do with Elvis too many to write down, I will always love Elvis, when he died I would not except it, in my heart he was still alive and always will be.

I'm quite a young Elvis fan but was raised on him since the day I was born. My father has been an avid Elvis fan for many years. At 12 years old he lived in Memphis, one street down from Elvis Presley. He became close friends with one of the security/body guards and met Elvis a couple of times. He has never forgotten those days. When I was born, it was Elvis all the way. Records, tapes, cd's, now dvd's. I love Elvis, always have, always will. I am now a collector of Elvis memorabilia. His voice is amazing, and what a joker he was. He was always good looking, but I was drawn to him merely for the fact that he touched so many people's lived and was such a caring person. Elvis will always live on in the hearts of millions. There are some that say he's long gone, in the past, and we should forget it, but I will get to meet him one day. He is looking down from heaven and thanking all of the people that gave him so much joy, and love him so much. The king lives on, and always will.

I became an Elvis-fan in fall 1977.
The first Elvis-song I heard was the studio-versoin of "Jailhouse Rock". My first Elvis-album was "Elvis In Concert". I went on collecting Elvis albums for the next 18 years - up to the amount of 187 albums, including all regular releases during Elvis' lifetime. Then in 1995, when the third and last of the 5-CD-Anthologies: "Walk A Mile In My Shoes - The Essential 70's Masters" was released, I gave them all to charity and started a new collection on CD, trying to build up a collection with a minimum of overlappings.
I visited the home Elvis lived in during his army-stint in Germany, in Bad Nauheim several times and went to see "Elvis - The Concert" in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2005
I remember growing up listing to Elvis at 12yrs old I wanted to learn to play the guitar and wanted to do nothing but Elvis music. Later I wished I could become
a tribute artist. Well God granted me that wish and today I perform as an Elvis Tribute Artist and would not have it any other way. I love the music. To be able to sing and perform is a gift from God. Sometimes if to work hard and never give up
your dreams will come true.

When other people my age tend to listen to punk music, or rap... I'm too busy being enchanted by Elvis. and not only his music, but also his acting, his dancing, the contagious energy he carried; and that undeniable presence that we all have come to know as Elvis Ar(r)ron Presley.
'cheesy Elvis songs' and 'fat Elvis' remarks tend to fly right over my head; unphasingly...because out of all the 20+ years Elvis graced the Earth with his remarkable, talent..if that's what some people choose to remember him as then the problem's obviously not with him, but more so with them and them alone..You'd be truly blind to talent, while at the same time missing out on the best entertainer that ever lived.
Because, even in his final days.. Elvis was still Elvis, his music was still HIS music, and the king was still, THE king...
~*I've alway loved Elvis, he's been my freind when I had no others; A comfort at my lowest points, and a celebration at my highest points as well... But I guess you could first really trace my infactuation with Elvis, back to age 1 or 2 when my mom's boyfreind shared with me his own love for the king...(he even thought he was Elvis!..lol) Of course at that age I don't remember much about it...but my Mom says the moment that unmistakable voice filled the room; my eyes would lite up and I'd go around the room, dancing with my pet chow dog named, Get Lo (yes, chosen breed and even named after Elvis's pet dog!)
~*Years down the road, after Elvis having helped me through some of the hard walks of life. Including, having to move many different times, due to my mom and step-dad's on again, off again seperation. Due to the fact that they tried to make it work but never could.. It was then that, the worst thing that could possibly happen..happened. My cousin Neil, only 32 years old was killed in a fatal car accident on Valentine's Day 2003. He was on his way to work and the air was filled with the early morning fog; the roads slippery, due to rainfall from the previous night ..And, in his car they found his Bible, and a Valentine's card, carefully adressed to his mother..
~*Neil was a great guy who bubbled-over with compasssion, humor, and kindess... not unlike Elvis himself. He had given his life to the Lord after being overwhelmed by the emotional gospel tune; 'Amazing Grace"..Elvis's favorite type of music, and Neil's favorite song by Elvis.. He was more like a brother to me, than he ever was a cousin..
~*I thought I could never be at peace with my life again... but ya know what? God truly does work in mysterious ways; and sometimes, he even uses Elvis to do so... because only months later I discovered someone. Someone who helped to ease the pain... Someone who could take my mind of of things, if only temporarily. And that someone is an 'Elvis Tribute Artist' by the name of David Lee...
I had first heard about David a year before-hand, when my mom brought his autographed picture, home to me..But at that particular time I was'nt so sure how I felt about 'tribute artists', and 'impersonators'..'Cause you know those are really, big shoes to fill... and honestly, it took me about a year from then, to actually attend my first David Lee show... But, I'm so very glad I did, because it was at that point when I first said; "you know... He may not be able to run a marathon in the King's shoes; but he sure can walk a mile in them in them okay!"
~*I think it's simplt that; David does'nt try to to be Elvis, because he himself knows nobody can be..He is simply a really big, Elvis fan..who wants to share his love with other really big Elvis fans..he's just himself..there is'nt one thing fake about him (not even his hair!..lol) and I think that's what it's all about... not trying to be something your not, but rather bringing to life a fire and a love, that was there, thriving inside of you all along..David is the best there is; and has allowed me to relive my love for Elvis... on a whole new level..
~*I would like to say; that I have a baby cousin, named Britnee. And, she was actually born on my cousin Neil's birthday: (June 23, 2003).Brit currently lives in Albany, New york with her mother but,she is coming home to Birmingham soon. Needless to say these days I miss her terribly...and, I talk to her on the phone weekly; and when I say "who's Shea-Shea gonna take you to see as soon, as you get home to Bama?...
and, Brit simply giggles and proudly, retorts: " I Go see El-bis!!with Shea-Shea!" Lol..well, she may be too young to correctly pronounce Elvis's name, but one things for sure...You're NEVER too young to 'Relive, the Magic of the King!'
~*Elvis;I love you! and thankya verra muchh!.. For everything.. I'd be nothing if you were never that 'special something'!
God bless, with all my love--Shea-Jeneane~*
[By the way...I'm 16 years old from Birmingham, Alabama..I'm '5"6, have blonde hair, blue eyes and a pretty, good Elvis collection that's growing by the second..]
(I can also make one mean fried peanut-butter and banana sandwich!..lol..(do you want one?) I now attend David Lee shows on a regular basis...If your interested in David Lee, and you want to check him out (which I highly reccomend!) you can do so @ www.Elvis4u.com ~*

I could write a book, Elvis is such a PIVOTAL AND CENTRAL AND ESSENTIAL PART OF MY LIFE!!! One of my first memories is at 5 yrs old sitting in my swing and hearing Hound Dog..... and I've been chasing rabbits ever since!!!! I'm a singer and learned to sing from listening to Elvis mainly, as well as many others. Because of Elvis and James Dean I wanted to be an actor also, but didn't get there. Several years ago I won my 1st karaoke contest singing '' IT'S NOW OR NEVER '' and was told some actually believed I was lipsynching. Elvis totally influenced my life. I wish I could write it all, but let me say in brevity that Elvis Aaron Presley was the most important and most dynamically talented singer of the last century. AND BELIEVE ME, AS BEING ONE SOME OF MY FRIENDS NICKNAMED Elvis, I AM ONE PERSON WHOSE LIFE WAS TOTALLY AFFECTED BY THE LIFE OF Elvis PRESLEY. Elvis AND JAMES DEAN ( WHO WAS LIKEWISE A HERO OF Elvis' ) ARE PROBABLY MY TWO GREATEST HEROES. THANK YOU FOR THIS OPPURTUNITY TO SAY, ALTHOUGH BRIEFLY, THAT Elvis, THE GREATEST ENTERTAINER OF ALL TIME, SO THOROUGHLY TOUCHED MY LIFE. KEEP ROCKING YA'LL, CAUSE THAT'S ALRIGHT, MAMA!!!! LONNIE FOWLER .... CHECK ME OUT IF YOU WANT AT http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/lonniefowler. KEEP ROCKIN'.

Hello I'm Dene Williams
I first heard Elvis on the radio I was very young 16 years old and in a new unhappy marriage. Elvis could sing and make me feel better.wear my ring around your neck was my favorite then .
later devorced and all Elvis music was my favorite I wrote poems, a song of him and thought Elvis was the most handsome, best singer, greastest in everything for Elvis loved his moma like I did and do my mother.
I think Elvis was the Greatest and there never will be another to take his place.
Now my favorite besides them all is Are You Lonesome tonight? I also like wooden heart. I make cloth covered Albums and always put a little blue heart on the front of the album. I will always have memories of Elvis Presley for Elvis is My Dream Man.
Thank You very much for letting me write about Elvis

I love Elvis since he started selling records. Then I saw him on tv. But the second time he was on tv my grandmother would shut the tv off, so I went someplace else and they would do the same thing and would say "he is the devil and if you listen to his music you will se the devil". So in 1957 I had a chance to go and see him in Ottawa with a co-worker, and when my boss found out about it, he came to see me and said, "You are going to see that nut?" I said, "What nut?" He said, "You know that crazy nut Elvis in Ottawa." I said yes. Well he said to me if you go to see that nut I need you to work tomorrow and if you go, you are out. So I did not go, and she went and she lost her job, never seen her again.
Then I dressed some dolls with jumpsuits I sewed, and after Elvis died my son was singing in clubs and said to me that there is a man who wants to have a Elvis jumpsuit made for an Elvis impersonnator. I said I cant do it as I am not a dress maker, but he made the guy come to my place just the same, and I made him two suits. Then another one found out about it and I made him a blue suit with a cape, and this one won the contest at the montral paul sauve arena. His name was David Scott. I was so proud and after I made him another suit of Hawaii with the eagles.
Now I am still a big fan. I have dvd's, CDs, records, pictures all over and everywhere in my home my small museum when I have visitors they have plenty to look at. I still have my sons jumpsuit I made him when he was ten years old. Elvis will always be part of my life. I am alone, my kids have their lives and its hard to find someone to share a life with if you like Elvis. I met someone once and when I listened to Elvis I was treated of a this and that but I like the king and always will. He should have not died. Elvisly yours a true fan
24K Gold Music Shows is a large oldies musical revue (126 people) performing primarily in Florida. The shows are filled with lots of choreography, energy, and great fun with oldies, country, and Elvis songs.
The last 1/3 of each evening show is an Elvis Tribute, featuring his music based on arrangements from his 1970s concerts. And every show is different.
24K Gold Music Shows understands there was only one Elvis Presley, so NO ONE in in the band will ever attempt to "impersonate" Elvis or pretend to be him, nor even be as good as Elvis! The show they are doing is a sincere tribute to the King, with NO attempt to mock him.
So in 24K Gold Music Shows Elvis tribute show you will be reminded of Elvis through his songs, sung with similar arrangements to those he used in concert, and see some similar costumes to those he wore, just for nostalgia's sake.
