Omg. Elvis is my hero. I grew up on Elvis. My dad knows almost everything about him. My dad is 29 right now. He started listening to Elvis when he was 6. Ever since I was 4, Elvis has been just amazing to me. I really wish he was still alive. Haha. Me and my dad will sit and eat fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches and listen to Elvis and talk about how wonderful he is. He really was an inspiration. If he was still alive I would do anything and everything to see him just once in person. Stupid drugs. Why? *tear* Why? We all love you and miss you Elvis. I hope you're in a better place :)

The fan story of: Mollie

Hi, My name is Mollie and although I have always been an Elvis fan, I became an Elvis addict last winter. After watching 70-80 of his music videos on You Tube, I was hooked. My favorite songs are: Lets Pretend and 20 days and 20 Nights...Also, Do You Know Who I Am?. I love you Elvis Presley..
I have read all the books I can find on him.
Did you know that when he was 8 years old and singing for his classmates, his teacher had to close the windows and doors because the other children in the other classes would all want to come and be near him. The man was a gift to us even back then.

The fan story of: Ann, 43

I can't remember the first time I saw or heard Elvis. For me, he was always there. I was born at the height of his fame, when he and The Beatles were competing for the #1 spot on all the record charts, and when he was twisting and gyrating with Ann-Margret in Viva Las Vegas.
I can remember going to the theatre as a child and watching his movies. I can remember hearing a lot of his songs on the radio when they were #1 hits at the time they were being played. But my greatest memory of Elvis was seeing him in person. I was blessed to see Elvis twice - once in 1975, and again in 1976.
I was 11 and 12 respectively, but I remember those events just as if they happened yesterday! I was so excited, I almost got sick! The first time I saw him in person, I was sitting close enough to see the blue of his eyes! How gorgeous they were! I had tickets to see him in September 1977. He died just three weeks before he was supposed to come to my hometown again. Elvis' death did something to me inside. I felt, even at that young age, that I had lost the love of my life. He has been gone for 30 years now, and I love him just as much today as I did back then, maybe even more. I don't necessarily approve of May-December relationships, but I do believe that if Elvis had lived, and if I had had the opportunity to become a part of his life, I would have certainly given it a try! He was a fantasy come true!
I was in love with Elvis then, I am in love with Elvis now, and I will always be in love with love Elvis.

I think Elvis is the nicest, respectful, handsome, and caring person to ever be. I really can't remember how I started listening to Elvis but I live right in front of where Elvis got his infamous haircut before the army. I've been to Graceland twice. It's very pretty Elvis actually never died but lives in his fans' hearts. Thank you for listening to Elvis. Elvis' fan Mindy.

I have been an Elvis fan since I was nine years old. He is a great respectful handsome individual. He will never be replaced. I have been to Graceland twice and I just went recently to Memphis. Elvis forever.

The fan story of: Lillynell, 13

I am a huge Elvis fan. I have liked him ever since I was born but recently I took a trip to Graceland and my love for him kinda spilt out. Ever since, I am a huge Elvis fan; he is all I talk about. My room is filled with his stuff and there is not a day that goes by that I don't watch a movie, concert, and listen to his music. He was the greatest entertainer that ever walked the planet. It is a cryin shame that he died. I still cry every time 8-16-77 comes up. He had the greatest voice ever and still does. Nobody as far as I'm concerned will ever top him. If he were here right now I would give anything to hear him sing If I Can Dream, that is my favorite song ever. He puts his heart and soul in his singing. I am a huge Elvis fan now, and will be till the day I rest in peace with him. Elvis is the King of Rock and Roll.. And always will be.. May he be in our hearts FOREVER!!!

The reason I like Elvis is because he is king of kool. I got into Elvis when a friend lent me an album. A lot of kids thought it was funny that I like Elvis when they were into disco music but I did not care. Then the rockabilly came back in and I got to hear Elvis Sun stuff. Elvis is the reason I am a rockabilly today. I am with 2 Elvis fan clubs. I like www.Elvis-express.com. There will never be a another Elvis. tcb

The fan story of: Leslie, 59

I heard Elvis' voice for the first time in 1957, on my neighbor's record player. I was 9 and the song was "Hound Dog". The impact was immediate and eventually, I was old enough to buy some of his records. They came in plain brown sleeves at first and then some were sold with picture sleeves. The first time I ever saw his face was on the picture sleeve of a 45 record. On one side was "A Fool Such As I" and on the other side was "I Need Your Love Tonight". It was love at first sight!
I was too young in the 50's to go to his movies.. in fact my mom refused to let me go see that movie in which Elvis was going to portray a "jailbird" (her words). Of course, I did eventually get to see those 50's movies... King Creole is my favorite movie.

Throughout the 60's I purchased every new album and went to see every corresponding movie...at least three times. Back then you could stay in the theater and keep watching as long as they kept showing it. I dragged my best friend to many of them and made her come with me to beg the theater managers to let me have the promotional pictures from the theater display windows...I'm happy to say I was given many of them and still have them today...and no, I won't part with any of them. I can't explain to anyone who has not had the experience, what a thrill it is to watch Elvis on the "big screen"!
I got to see him that way again - twice - in the 70's - went to see both of the documentaries.
Then came the biggest thrill of my life...the same friend I had dragged to all of those movies called to tell me she had tickets for us to see Elvis - the REAL Elvis -IN PERSON ... in Agusta, Me on May 24th 1977.
The excitement in the air that night was almost tangible...the beginning streins of "2001" began, the drums rolled, the strobe lights circled the room, and then...THERE HE WAS!!! Dressed in the "Sundial" jumpsuit...crossing the stage with the that only Elvis Presley had...nobody walked like him...he sauntered...beautifully like a lion on the prowl, head down sightly, looking up and out at us...beautiful!

And his voice...when he spoke, you could bearly hear a word he said because his voice was so beautifully soft. But, when he sang - espeically when he sang "Hurt", his voice was so strong, it filled the entire Civic Center, giving me shivers down my spine. Over the years I always thought if I ever saw him in person, I would run up to the stage and give him the biggest hug he'd ever received. Well, I just stood in front of my chair and I cried...tears of pent up love and tears of incredible disbelief and awe that I was actually in the same room with the man I had idolized for so many years...besides I found out later that the stage was so high, I would never have been able to reach him-even if no one tried to stop me.

I did manage to yell out to him as he paused between a couple of songs, "Elvis, we love you!" To my amazement, he must've heard me, because he replied, "We love you too", after which the crowd applauded and screamed wildly in appreciation.

He was and is a beautiful spirit. They say no one is perfect; but, in my mind, Elvis was perfect...at least physically...I don't know about him personally...none of us really do.

I will love him until I die. I love the way he looked, the way he sang, the way he talked, walked and laughed..the way his eyes sparkled when he laughed...

There's not an impersonater on the face of this earth that comes close to the beauty and talent that was Elvis...I am thankful that we have audio and video recordings of him to enjoy forever..to keep the memory of the real Elvis alive forever.

Hello to all you Elvis Presley fans. I have been a Elvis fan ever since 1973, of course during Elvis: Aloha From Hawaii. Via Satllite. I saw that concert at the age of 5 years old, and I was just blown away of all the on stage antics he did way back then. I later discovered he had done a 15 day city tour that led to the concert movie. Elvis ON TOUR. this is a great concert movie. as well as the other 2 that he did back then. Elvis: THAT'S THE WAY IT IS. 1970. and Elvis: THE 1968 COMEBACK SPECIAL. all these concerts I have. I am a Elvis presley impersonater. And it is a great thing to know that. But it's really hard doing it because sometimes nobody is willing to believe in you. I just hope someone is willing to belive in me. let's all keep on rocking with the king. mine. yours. the one and only Elvis Prealey.

I grew up in Belleville, Illinois, a child of alcholics, and an extremely abusive mother and later step-father. Elvis was the light in my life. He gave me hope and a reason to struggle on to keep living. When both of my parents died in my childhood, I still had Elvis. Even as a 14 year old living on the streets I had Elvis. Elvis's songs, energy, voice, etc. kept me alive. Either you are an Elvis fan and you understand; or you are not an Elvis fan and no explantion would ever make the picture clear for you.

Hey, it so good to actually find a site that can appreciate a legend without having to mock them. Ive loved Elvis since I can remember and my dad has numurous pictures and family videos of me as a toddler dancing to him. Also im really glad to see other young people commenting, its so hard to be unique nowadays without being mocked. I have probably based my whole music facination around Elvis and I buy memorabilia and albums whenever I can. Between me and my dad we own every album and video recorded and made by Elvis and now weve started downloading recording sessions! I think the thing that attracted me to Elvis was his ability and flare to make people laugh and the impact that he had on everyone. Music today wouldnt be the same without the influence of the King. He bought in variety, rock, blues, romance, u name it, the king did it. Ive even heard that he was the worlds first rap artist where he just used to speak the words. Its a shame he not with us anymore...

Well, I have always liked Elvis, my Granny liked him a lot and I guess it kind of rubbed off on me. Now that I am a little older, I have learned a lot more then I knew before. My Granny tells me a story about him and it pretty neat. Apparently, and believe this or not, my Great Aunt Betty (My Granny's sister) dated Elvis... I know people probably say that all the time but as far as I know, it is true. My family was from Alabama/Tenn, and apparently she lived around Memphis. It didn't last long but she did date his bodyguard after that... I believe up until she died (this I'm assuming), in a car accident, when she was really young (under 30). Anyways, while she was dating the bodyguard, she brought my Granny (who was 17 at the time) to a party at Graceland. By the way, she was like 5 years older than my Granny, maybe more. They said Elvis probably wouldn't come down that night, but sure enough, he did. She says he sat down next to her and swears that he touched her leg. He was very friendly and when we went to Graceland on a vacation, she even showed us the room that they were in and everything. She says a lot is different inside than it was when she got to go that day, but she can remember it very vividly and pointed out the area where he went over and put on a record. I can't prove the validity of any of this story, but it came from my Granny's mouth and I have always believed it to be true. When she tells me about it, I can see that it is true. She really loves Elvis and it has made Elvis fans out of me and my cousin who is only 9.

HI THERE EVERYBODY IN Elvis WORLD. SINCE I LAST VISITED THIS SITE DEAR CHARLIE HODGE PASSED AWAY AND ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT I WAS SO GLAD I GOT TO MEET HIM. HE WAS A LOYAL AND TRUE FRIEND TO Elvis AND A GENTLEMAN TO ALL THE FANS. I ALSO GOT TO MEET JERRY SCHEFF AND GLEN D. HARDIN RECENTLY IN DUBLIN. WHAT GREAT GUYS! JUST LIKE CHARLIE THEY HAD SO MUCH TIME TO TALK TO EACH FAN AND POSE FOR PHOTOS, GIVE AUTOGRAPHS ETC. JERRY SAID HE NEVER GETS SICK OF CONVENTIONS OR MEETING THE FANS AND YOU CAN TELL HE ISN'T JUST SAYING IT TO MAKE HIMSELF LOOK GOOD WHEN YOU MEET HIM. AND BOY! DO THEY STILL ROCK! I AM ONLY 40 AND I FEEL SO LUCKY THAT I HAVE MANAGED TO MEET SO MANY OF Elvis' FRIENDS AND CO-MUSICIANS. JUST TO BE CLOSE TO THESE GUYS IS SUCH AN HONOUR. I AM LISTENING TO Elvis SINGING "PLEDGING MY LOVE" AS I AM WRITING THIS. I HAVE JUST COME BACK FROM MASS IN MY LOCAL CHURCH FOR EASTER AND I KNOW THAT JESUS IS GLAD TO HAVE Elvis WITH HIM IN HEAVEN WHERE HE SO DESERVES TO BE. GOD BLESS YOU Elvis AND HAPPY EASTER TO YOU, MY FELLOW FANS! ALWAYS YOURS EL, LOVE AIDEEN XX

My first Elvis concert I saw on tv, was Aloha from Hawaii when it was his 25th Anniversary, and when it had finished I was another Elvis fan. For years my dad always played in the pub, 'sucpicious minds' and I always wondered ' I have never heard a voice as lovely as that. and when it had finished I was another Elvis fan. He the greatest singer ever and always will be.

As a devout Catholic I know Elvis is not dead but he singing in Heaven, and one day all Elvis fans and I will see him at last

Long Live the King

I was 15 years old when I first heard Elvis sing. He sang I Forgot to Remember to Forget. I really liked him then, and when I saw him on Ed Sullivan.... I fell in love. I have been to MANY concerts..... everytime he came within 500 miles of my hometown I saw him.I feel safe in saying he is the one constant in my life. Boyfriends and husbands came and went..Elvis was my first love, and the one I'll never forget.

i was 11 years old when Elvis became a part of my life it was in march of 1977 my mother had just past way a few months befor and I rember watching t.v. oneday and then it happen it was fellowing that dream when I saw this good looking man and when he sang that first song that was all it took I was hook for life I asked my father who he was and he told me it was Elvis presley and that my mother also loved him and my daddy told me all about Elvis how he became the king of rock and roll and then my daddy sent to graceland for a picture and about two weeks later they sent me one back Elvis even saing it. but liveing with three bothers they mess it up oh I wish I still had that picture only five months befor he would also leave me to and when Elvis left it was like losing a part of the family. when I was in high school in the 80's all were listening to the new groups like ymca but for it was always Elvis and still today there's not a day that don't go bye without a song. I hear all the talks about Elvis and the jokes but I just as all of his fans also know that Elvis was the real thing and today that's what is missing from music. Elvis PRESLEY WAS THE ONE AND ONLY MR.SONG MAN LOVE YA Elvis
